A powerful theatre piece based on a true story of a young woman trafficked to Scotland that combines direct, chilling performances with video and animation and a site-specific production.
Theatre play RoadKill exposes the hidden world of sex trafficking. It is an innovative theatre piece filled with video and animation projections helping to express the horrific drama the main character is going through.
I have worked closely with Cora to create the animation for the show.
RoadKill was created and directed by Cora Bissett and the show was the first production in Edinburgh Festival Fringe history to win every major theatre award:
Olivier Award for Best Production in an Affiliate Theatre, 2012
Amnesty Award for Freedom of Expression
Total Theatre Award for Innovation
Edinburgh International Festival Award
Holden St Theatre Award (Australia)
Stage Award for Best Actress – Mercy Ojelade
